We are doing VO2max tests at GCC. Our tests are very sophisticated and laboratory quality. We have the capability of performing treadmill or bike ergometer tests protocols to determine VO2max and Lactate Threshold. We are charging very little for these tests (see the price schedule below).
The tests are performed by Lisa Lewis, a Faculty at GCC and an Exercise Physiologist (Master of Science degree and soon to be Doctor) and an active Consulting Exercise Physiologist to the Seattle Mariners team.
The VO2max test price schedule is:
- For Students taking any of the Fitness or Nutrition classes (such as Triathlon Training, etc.) $75
- For any GCC student $95
- For First Wavers or other running or triathlon club $125
For more information and to schedule a VO2max test, they can email Dr. Carlos V. Nunez at slowest_man@hotmail.com or call (480) 794 0412

Club Uniform and Polo Shirt Information
Uniforms: Due to the overwhelming interest in Club uniforms it has come time to
place another order.
Polo Shirts: We've requested more details on the women's shirts from The Perfect Touch but
haven't gotten an answer yet. We will need a total of at least 12 shirts (men's and women's) to be able
to get the $30 price. If we don't get enough of the female orders then they will have to be added to
the male order to get to 12 shirts. I don't have a picture for the men's, but Mike and Dan have
worn the shirts at the last two meetings and will again this next Tues.
In order to receive the uniforms in time it will require a prompt response from all who are interested. We are setting a DEADLINE of July 25th for payment.
